The company's newest sound bar model has been detailed.
Polk Audio has revealed the latest addition to its Signa Series of audio products, the Signa S2. The sound bar system serves as the successor to the Signa S1 and now joins the previously released Signa Solo sound bar.
"The Signa Series sound bars from Polk Audio are incredibly popular because they’re easy to use, sound excellent and are very flexible. In an effort to improve on an already great experience, we've beefed up the Signa S2 in just the right places to ensure consumers have an affordable option from one of the industry’s most trusted audio brands," said Michael Greco, global brand director, Polk Audio. "The Signa S2 adds HDMI ARC for a streamlined, single-cable experience with smart TVs as well as improved sound quality for great audio from a product under $200."
The Signa S2 features a sound bar unit with a 2” tall, low-profile design and a separate slim wireless ported 5.25" subwoofer. In addition, the system uses a performance-tuned driver array and includes Dolby Digital 5.1 decoding support. Likewise, the device takes advantage of Polk Audio's patented Voice Adjust tech to provide clear dialogue reproduction. Bluetooth wireless connectivity, an HDMI ARC port, an optical port, and an analog 3.5mm mini-jack are integrated as well. Finally, the sound bar offers one-button EQ settings with preset modes for "Movies," "Music" and "Night" playback.
The Polk Audio Signa S2 is currently on display at the company's CEDIA 2018 booth in San Diego. The sound bar is set to launch in October for an MSRP of $199.95.
