New Xbox App Beta Features Include Facebook Friend Integration, Game DVR Narration

A much-requested feature sees the light of day.

Two new features have entered the Windows 10 Xbox beta app, one of which—Facebook friend integration—was a popular fan feature.

Beta participants will now be able to search for new Xbox Live friends by linking their Xbox Live and Facebook accounts. As more people begin linking Xbox Live to Facebook, Xbox will be able to give players new friend suggestions based on the people they're connected with on Facebook but haven't yet connected with on Xbox Live.

Another new feature for beta participants is a voice recording function in Game DVR. Players can plug in their headset and start narrating their game clips with a simple hotkey combination (Win + Alt + M). Players can also choose to have their microphone on by default when they're playing a game.
