LG Details Pricing & Availability for 2019 Sound Bar Lineup

Six new sound bar models are rolling out to stores in the coming months.

LG has announced pricing and availability for its 2019 sound bar collection. The lineup includes the SL10YG, SL9YG, SL8YG, SL7Y, SL6Y, and SL5Y.

"Our 2019 sound bars are the most innovative and best sounding models LG has designed to date," said Tim Alessi, head of home entertainment product marketing at LG Electronics USA. "This combination of exceptional sound and smart AI connectivity takes music and movies to a new level of home entertainment."

The 2019 lineup is led by the flagship SL10YG, SL9YG, and SL8YG. All three models have been developed in partnership with Meridian Audio and include support for the company's Image Elevation and Meridian Upmix technologies. Likewise, the sound bars all include Dolby Atmos and DTS:X capabilities with up-firing drivers. AI smart connectivity and voice recognition features are implemented as well via integrated Google Assistant support, allowing users to control the sound bars and search for information through voice commands. In addition, the SL9YG model also offers support for stand and wall mount orientations, allowing the unit to automatically adjust its output depending on how it's positioned. Finally, users can extend the soundfield even further with an optional Wireless Rear Speaker Kit (model SPK 8).
