Two new speaker models with Dolby Atmos support have been revealed.
Klipsch has announced an expansion of its Dolby Atmos speaker lineup. The new Reference Dolby Atmos enabled home theater speaker collection includes the R-14SA elevation speaker and the R-26FA floorstanding speaker.
"As demand for Dolby Atmos technology has grown, we are excited to offer a wider range of options that deliver this immersive and emotive sound experience with all the power, detail and emotion that Klipsch is known for," stated Rob Standley, vice president and general manager, professional and component speaker solutions at Klipsch.
The R-14SA is a Dolby Atmos add-on module that is designed to sit on top of existing floorstanding/bookshelf speakers, adding Dolby Atmos audio capabilities. The module's upfiring driver bounces sound off of the ceiling in order to simulate overhead audio. Meanwhile, the R-26FA is a full-fledged floorstanding speaker model with traditional drivers and an integrated elevation channel for upfiring sound.
