In Other "Things You Already Know" News: 'Destiny 2' Isn't Happening This Year

Another expansion to come this year.

Because just like people who like to go to the restroom in pairs, Activision has followed Ubisoft in announcing their financials today on an earnings call, and within said announcement came the official word that, like the next 'Assassin's Creed', 'Destiny's full-fledged sequel is officially stepping back to 2017.

In its place will be "a large new expansion", though it's unclear whether we're talking 'House of Wolves'-size, or 'Taken King'-size, which could mean the world in terms of how happy the fanbase is gonna be with it.  Well, as happy as people who have not stopped complaining about the game since it launched can possibly be, anyway.

Nevertheless, it's also an action taken immediately after Bungie got itself a new CEO last month, with no doubt now that he was brought on to right the ship that's apparently a bit more in danger of sinking than any of us could possibly know. Hopefully, with a little more time, the whole thing can finally stay afloat.
