December, the final month of the holiday rush is here. October is tough. November is rough. But December is usually a pretty damn glorious month for new releases on 4k UHD. 2024 closes out on one hell of an expensive and exciting slate of discs. Major studios are dropping some of their best while boutique and independent labels crush out their new editions ahead of 2025.

December is a fine month. We get into the festive holiday season. Decorate. Eat too many big meals and hang out with family. In between shopping trips and mauling down giant meals and gallons of eggnog, we also have to keep an eye on some of the big heavy hitter titles coming to 2160p this month. As the studios and boutique labels have their sights firmly set on holiday gift-giving, they flood us with a parade of great new first-time-on-4k releases with a slew of special gift set editions. 2024 was a busy year for the format and it's closing out on a banger of a month... albeit an expensive one at that!
