Somehow 'Thumper' gets even more difficult.
While we knew that developer Drool was working on making their rhythm violence game 'Thumper' (read our review) compatible with PS4 Pro, we now know that today's update also brings a brand new mode. Called 'PLAY+,' the new offering allows players to replay campaign levels in order to gain more points. There's a catch, though, as the golden beetle that players take control of can't respawn after death. Drool says this mode is "the ultimate test of thumping skill."
PS4 Pro players will be able to enjoy this new game mode in native 4K. They'll also get to check out "high quality supersampling and anti-aliasing" thanks to the PS4 Pro's extra power, and PlayStation VR owners will also get to enjoy higher quality visuals. Finally, the game still runs at a solid 90FPS.
'Thumper' is the first game from Drool, and is available now on PlayStation 4 and PC.
