Making a lethal longbow out of the remains of an elk.
A new gameplay video for 'Rise of the Tomb Raider,' has surfaced, giving expectant fans a look at how this sequel is iterating on its 2013 predecessor's crafting and stealth mechanics.
The video starts by dumping Lara Croft into a frozen environment in the middle of a snow storm, where players learn how to gather resources from the environment. After Lara successfully starts a fire and puts together a rough shelter, she can upgrade her longbow. Different upgrades are available to her depending on the kinds of resources she has in her inventory. She can also craft different types of arrows, including poison arrows that stun larger opponents and kill weaker ones.
Once armed men find her camp, Lara can climb up into the trees. Once an unsuspecting guard wanders close enough, Lara can jump from the branches and quickly take him down, though not without making a fair bit of noise. As Lara discovers the enemy camp, she stumbles across a new collection of items that she can use to distract and kill hostile enemies.
'Rise of the Tomb Raider' will release as a timed exclusive on Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 10. You can check out the extended gameplay sequence below.
