A Slime Draws Near: Meet Some of the Iconic Monsters of 'Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below'

The 'Dragon Quest' series has produced some of gaming's most iconic monsters, and the PS4 bound 'Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below' will feature the latest iteration of these fond frenemies. To help explain the origins of a few of these of monsters stars, Square Enix has put together a nice one sheet that should make 'Dragon Quest' fans past, present, and future smile.

Naturally, Slimes will continue to be a familiar part of the franchise. In the new game, Healix will be highlighted as one of the selectable party members, and based off of previews, is going to be a contender.

Preorders for 'Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below' will nab the Day One Edition, which includes "exclusive in-game Slime weapons for the legendary DRAGON QUEST heroes, including the Slime Sword, Gooey Gloves, Goomerang, Squishing Rod, and Gungenir." (Order here.)
