Avenged Sevenfold will be introducing music from more than a dozen bands.
My single biggest wish for FreeStyleGames' excellent 'Guitar Hero Live' has been to see the GHTV music channels grow. There have been lots of songs added and plenty of exciting bits of premium show content, but it's been that fundamental two channel experience that I wanted to see evolve.
For the next week, something very much along those lines will be happening. At special times marked below, an Avenged Sevenfold hosted one hour block called "A7X Rock Classics" will air on GHTV channel 1. This one hour block will feature songs from more than a dozen artists, including (but not limited to) Pantera, Megadeth, AFI, Bob Dylan, Boston, Queensryche, Tenacious D, Faith No More, Deftones, and Weezer.
Avenged Sevenfold will be talking about these different songs during the show (in the breaks), and thus will be introducing their favorites.
This one hour block will air at:
Tuesday, Dec. 22nd at 5:30pm Pacific (World Premiere)
Wednesday, Dec. 23rd at 1:30am, 9:30am and 6:00pm Pacific
Thursday, Dec. 24th at 2:00am, 10:00am and 8:30pm Pacific
Friday, Dec. 25th at 4:30am, 12:30pm, 5:30pm and 9:30pm Pacific
Saturday, Dec. 26th at 5:30am, 9:30am, 7:30pm and 11:00pm Pacific
Sunday, Dec. 27th at 7:30am, 11:00am and 7:00pm Pacific
Monday, Dec. 28th at 3:00am, 11:00am and 5:30pm Pacific
Tuesday, Dec. 29th at 1:30am and 9:30am Pacific
Later today is the first showing, and as a tie-in, the Avenged Sevenfold premium show is returning. Fans of Avenged Sevenfold will also want to pay attention to the Guitar Hero Live Social media channels, as Activision will be giving away albums, merch, and even signed guitars.
