Making the jump, again.
Yacht Club Games Kickstarter-funded 'Shovel Knight' is coming to the PS3, PS4, and Vita on April 21st, and it will include Kratos. The expectation is that like the Wii U and PC version, the PlayStation version will be an awesome side-scroller that blurs the lines between retro love and modern platforming.
Speaking of PC and Wii U owners of 'Shovel Knight,' they can look forward to a free update in 'Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows.' In the free update, which was part of the original Kickstarter stretch goals, players will take the role of the Plague Knight in his own quest to face the Order of No Quarter and brew the Ultimate Potion.
So while the PC, Wii U, and PlayStation family are accounted for, there has been one noticeable absence, and that would be the Xbox One.
Today, Yacht Club Games announced that 'Shovel Knight' will be coming to the Xbox One. The timeframe given is April, and Xbox One version will have its own little bonus. Citing a partnership Microsoft and Rare, Yacht Club Games has revealed that the Battletoads who once ruled in mythic days of the NES will be in the Xbox One version of 'Shovel Knight.'
