It's more than just a spit-shine on the graphics.
Naughty Dog is present and accounted for at PAX Prime this year, and the developer brought along around 10 minutes of gameplay from the upcoming 'Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.'
The folks at GameSpot uploaded footage from the beginning of an 'Uncharted 2' level, as played on the PS4 remaster coming in October. The video also features an interview with Naughty Dog's Eric Monacelli while the game is playing, and he gives us an idea of just how much went into this three-game collection.
Monacelli said Bluepoint Games, Naughty Dog's partner studio for this collection, was able to take the cinematic models from the original games and use them as the collection's in-game models thanks to the increased power of the PS4. He also noted that some slight gameplay tweaks might be coming to the collection as well, as the development team tried to find the best aiming mechanics in the entire series and utilize them for the whole collection instead of just porting each game's mechanics exactly as they were.
If you'd like to check the full interview (and see all 10 minutes of gameplay), you can watch the video below.
