Neversoft name will be retired.
Activision has made final what has been going for years, Neversoft as a studio is no more as its staff become an official part of Infinity Ward. Neversoft is known for developing games like the original 'Tony Hawk Pro Skater' and the PS1 'Spider-Man,' before being assigned to 'Guitar Hero' duty, starting with 'Guitar Hero III.'
For the last several years though, Neversoft has simple been another Activision developer working on 'Call of Duty,' specifically working under Infinity Ward on 'Call of Duty: Ghosts,' and so Activision's decision to retire the Neversoft name makes official what had already become reality.
We're thrilled about our merger with @Neversoft! The entire team is excited about the future
