Official 'The King of Fighters XIV' Tournament Takes Place Next Year

The World Championship will determine who is the best.

In an example of life imitating art, SNK will be holding a tournament to determine "The King of Fighters." No, the Japanese developer isn't getting into mixed martial arts, instead they are holding a fighting game tournament to determine the world's best 'The King of Fighters XIV' player. SNK will invite 16 of the best players to the tournament, which will be held in early 2017.

While details are currently light, a new trailer from SNK announcing the tournament can be seen below. It features 'KOF XIV' characters Antonov and Yakov discussing the upcoming event.

'The King of Fighters XIV' released exclusively on PlayStation 4 earlier this year.
