Also signs long-term deal for Fender endorsement.
If there is any one thing that is both the lifeblood and bane of Harmonix's existece, it's licensing. And while DLC tracks may come and go, Harmonix has at least got this peripheral thing locked down. In a statement earlier today, Harmonix announced they've signed a deal with Fender--the folks who make that sweet Stratocaster guitar--till 2027 for any game Harmonix wants to slap the name onto.
On top of that, it appears they've wasted no time flaunting that special relationship as they've released a short, sweet video showing off some new peripheral set to launch for 'Rock Band 4' this year that looks an awful lot like a shiny new bass controller. Course we could be wrong, it could be a super obnoxious tea cozy for all we know. But it's definitely coming this year, according to Harmonix. So, whatever it is, might wanna start saving for it now. Check the video below.
