Natural Born Egg Thief: The Oviraptor Joins 'ARK: Survival Evolved'

ARK: Survival Evolved news

Goes well with the new Ghillie Armor.

With 'ARK: Survival Evolved' version 226, there is a whole lot of stealth action being added. Today sees the addition of the Oviraptor, a creature far too small to fight or even be ridden. But what the small dino lacks in traditional strength and stature, it more than makes up with its unique abilities.

The small carnivore subsists mainly on eggs, and in order to survive, the oviraptor has developed the stealth characteristics required in order to regularly steal eggs without alerting the parentals. Once tamed, this little guy can be sent to rob other survivor's camps.

This egg fetish has another important benefit. The Oviraptor produces a special pheromone that sends other surrounding creatures into an egg-making mood, and the Oviraptor is more than happy to police up these eggs for its master.

The Oviraptor isn't the only new part of the update. Studio Wildcard has also added the Ghillie Suit armor, which works against both dinos and Survivors, the Industrial Oven, which enables cooking on a large scale, a Table furniture item, and a Modern Bunk-Bed, which is good for faster respawning.
