Includes speakers from BioWare & Bethesda.
'Read Only Memories' developer MidBoss has announced that the LGBTQ-focused GaymerX convention will take place for the fourth straight year. The three day event takes place at the Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara, California from September 30th to October 2nd. GaymerX's goal is to make gaming more welcoming and safer to marginalized groups, and has taken place yearly since 2012.
So far confirmed speakers include BioWare's David Gaider, AbleGamer's Mark Barlet who will be giving a talk on accessibility, and 'Fallout' creator Tim Cain. Many video game companies will be at the show, including Blizzard, Oculus, Microsoft and Harmonix. More details on guests and events can be found on GaymerX's website.
A trailer for last year's event can be seen below:
"Whether you make or play games, cover them as press, or upload Let’s Plays to YouTube -- you’ll be welcomed with open arms," said said MidBoss CEO and GaymerX founder Matt Conn. "It doesn’t matter if you are straight, gay, bi, trans, white, black, asian, latino, middle-eastern, purple or orange (yes, Donald - you’re invited, too!). Come on down, meet new people, have fun, and celebrate our shared love of games."
GaymerX takes place September 30th to October 2nd. Tickets are still available.
