A key move for a returning franchise.
With 'Guitar Hero Live,' Activision is gunning for the kind of content offering that makes games like 'Call of Duty' perennial fan-favorites. There is the live music festival portion of the game, there is the massive GH TV part of the game, there is the online ghost rivalry part the game, there is the premium content, and there is both local and online head to head multiplayer.
This feature set has something to suit all different kinds of players, from the competitive ot the casual, from the offline to the online, and from the included in the game to the season pass types- there is a lot to choose from.
And yet, for a game that has stressed its focus on guitar, the revelation that there will be full mic support with vocal tracks to supplement the guitar gameplay may be one of the biggest features revealed for the game to date.
It's all covered by developer Freestyle Games 0n the new Gamescom 2015 trailer:
'Guitar Hero Live' is set to be released this fall (October 20th in NA, October 23rd in Europe) for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, 360, Wii U and select mobile devices. The console versions are up for preorder for $99.99.
