RPG-loving holdouts might have to cave and finally upgrade for this one.
The 'Fallout 4' hype train had to make a stop this weekend as everyone without a newer console reluctantly disembarked. According to a Bethesda community lead on NeoGAF, the project is definitively not coming to PS3 and Xbox 360.
"It is not coming to 360 and PS3," the post reads, "the stuff we're doing will never work there."
Though the news is no doubt disheartening for those still running last-gen hardware, it's at least exciting to know that the 'Fallout' team is planning on taking full advantage of currently available console technology.
Though the original announcement for the game marked only the PS4, Xbox One and PC as release platforms, some players were still holding out hope that a last-gen port, however watered down, was an option since there was no official word to the contrary from Bethesda. At least now they have their word.
Bethesda is set to officially premiere 'Fallout 4' at its E3 Showcase on Sunday, June 14.
