But no external assets.
Last month, Bethesda announced that in spite of earlier promises there would be no mod support on the PS4. But now, after working with Sony on a new play, both 'Fallout 4' and 'Skyrim - Special Edition' will be getting mod support.
'Skyrim' will get mod support first, but like with 'Fallout 4,' this mod support will not allow for using any external assets, rather, mods will be made using only the assets that come with game. That should still allow for the "difficultly modifiers" that so many players seem to crave. This announcement resolves what has been a contentious situation that seemed to pull the rug out from under expectant fans. Now, there will be mods in both games (eventually).
Meanwhile, Bethesda has also announced PS Pro support for both games. In the case of 'Skyrim' Bethesda is specifying that native 4k will be possible on the PS4 Pro. That is pretty exciting for the console game. It'll be interesting to see what happens with 'Fallout 4.'
