A slow week as a plumber is running around on iOS.
Every Thursday brings new content to the Nintendo eShop, and this week is no exception even if it's not as packed as usual. The December 15th update to the Nintendo's virtual store is highlighted by Wii re-release of 'Excitebots: Trick Racing.' Monster Games' well-received racing game allows players to race as animals and robotic insects in some crazy race-types. Also hitting the store this week is 'Picross e7' on 3DS, and multiplayer word game 'Scribble' on Wii U.
If this week feels empty, it's because Nintendo's biggest release this week isn't actually on a Nintendo system. 'Super Mario Run,' the publisher's first iOS game, launched today. Nintendo fans aren't totally left in the cold, though, as several Wii U and 3DS virtual console titles have been discounted to celebrate the launch. This includes 'Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga,' 'Mario Tennis,' 'NES Open Tournament Golf,' and 'Wrecking Crew.'
Finally, other new titles include 'Breakout Defense' on Wii U and 'Mercenaries Saga 3' on 3DS.
