Other big titles on the docket include 'Scalebound,' 'Rise of the Tomb Raider,' and 'Crackdown.'
It's that time of the year when the gaming industry descends upon Cologne, Germany, for Gamescom. Microsoft and Xbox have quite the week planned, all starting with the Xbox Briefing on Tuesday, the day before the conference officially gets underway.
Microsoft has promised announcements for many of the games that were glossed over back at E3. Games like Platinum's 'Scalebound,' Remedy Entertainment's 'Quantum Break,' and 'Crackdown' are all set to take the stage in Cologne. Phil Spencer even teased that we might finally get a hard release date for the much-delayed 'Quantum Break.' This briefing will start at 10 a.m. Eastern (7 a.m. Pacific) on Tuesday, August 4. You'll be able to watch via your Xbox console, Windows Phone, or on Xbox.com.
Once the conference kicks off, the Xbox booth will feature hands-on and theatrical demos for several of this year's blockbuster Xbox One exclusives. Both 'Halo 5: Guardians' and 'Rise of the Tomb Raider' will be present on the conference floor, and 'Forza Motorsport 6' will be tagging along as well. The conference runs from August 5–9, though it looks like the Xbox booth will continue through August 10.
