So Inglorious: Stealth vs. Mayhem in 'Wolfenstein: The New Order'

Posted Apr 29, 2014 at 02:02 PM PDT by Brian Hoss

Different audio synced to different playstyles in violent game.

Alternate history or no, 'Wolfenstein: The New Order' is a shooter, but Machine Games would like you to know that there is more than one way to empower the resistance. The two main ways on display today are entitled Stealth and Mayhem respectively, but each path leads down the same road, a high enemy body count.

On the Stealth route, peaking around corners, throwing knives, using a silencer, and crouching all form the toolset. In Mayhem, dual wielding weapons, high rates of fire, sliding, and shooting through cover make for the blunt tools at the players' disposal.
