Six-month countdown begins now.
The Awesome Games Done Quick 2016 speedrunning marathon ended in the wee hours of the morning after almost a full week of livestreamed speedruns. Overall, the charitable event raised more than $1.2 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation through viewer and sponsor donations.
The event ended with a 3 1/2-hour run of 'Final Fantasy IV' filled with optional boss fights made possible through met donation incentives. Afterwards the event organizers closed out with a round of thank yous, the final donation tally, and the announcement of the organization's next marathon, Summer Games Done Quick 2016, which will take place July 3–9 in Minneapolis.
If you want to catch up on some of the speedruns you missed, you can find individual runs on the Game Done Quick YouTube page, or you can pick through some of the day-long VoDs on the marathon's Twitch profile.
