The classic JRPG finally makes it way to PC.
Bandai Namco has announced today that 'Tales of Symphonia', which remains one of the most popular games in the 'Tales' franchise to this day, will finally be seeing a PC release on February 2nd via Steam. The original version of the game released on Gamecube in North America in 2004, later receiving a re-release alongside its direct sequel 'Dawn of the New World' in 2014 on PS3 in 'Tales of Symphonia Chronicles', which this version will be based on. You can catch a trailer for the PC port below:
While Bandai Namco has begun to finally release 'Tales' games on PC (beginning with last year's 'Tales of Zestiria', which received a simultaneous PC and console release), this is the first time they've gone into their back catalog with the franchise for a PC port. While we won't also be getting 'Dawn of the New World', considering the somewhat negative reception that game received from fans of the original, it might not be all that big of a loss.
