Mark your calendars for November.
The finale to the 'StarCraft II' trilogy is almost upon us, as 'StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void' is officially launching November 10. And Blizzard was kind enough to give everyone a little taste of the action by releasing the game's opening cinematic.
The standalone expansion focuses on the Protoss species, along with their powerful ship the Spear of Adun. "'Legacy of the Void' provides an epic conclusion to a story more than 17 years in the making," Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime said in a press release. "It also brings tremendous enhancements to StarCraft II’s definitive real-time strategy gameplay, with new units, automated tournaments, collaborative game modes, and more."
Players who purchase 'Legacy of the Void' will also receive a small bonus in the form of a new hero for Blizzard's MOBA 'Heroes of the Storm.' Protoss Hierarch Artanis will be available to fight in the Nexus for any 'StarCraft II' fan with the upcoming expansion. An expanded Digital Deluxe Edition will grant players extra goodies in even more Blizzard titles, including a 'World of Warcraft' battle pet, a mount in 'Heroes of the Storm,' and a Protoss card in 'Hearthstone.'
'StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void' will be dropping November 10. You can find the game's opening cinematic below.
