If the service's ads are to be believed.
If there was some announcement coming that Square Enix was holding back on till a later date, whoever runs the Steam ads over at Valve apparently didn't get the memo, as the service has been running ads when it boots up to pre-order a PC version of 'Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and The Blight Below'. The ad leads to an empty Steam page, however, leading one to believe the ad wasn't ready for prime time just yet.
The game, which was previously PS4-exclusive in the Western hemisphere, basically does for the 'Dragon Quest' series what 'Hyrule Warriors' did for Zelda, merging a classic RPG with some good old fashioned 'Dynasty Warriors'-style melee action. 'Dragon Quest' fans should be rejoicing the news for more reasons than one. Mainly because its developers have mentioned that 'Heroes' success will determine if Square Enix will see it feasible to stop treating the U.S. like a leper colony when it comes to releasing more core games in the series. And without a doubt, this is them testing the waters on PC as well. Vote with your wallet, 'Dragon Quest' fans. We'll keep you posted when there's a proper release date.
