Discounts will be offered on runners-up.

The August PlayStation Plus games have been announced (see here), and as usual, there is a bit of grumbling spreading through the internet. But as has been rumored, Sony has a plan in motion which might be a game-changer. This plan is called "Vote to Play," and The Vote to Play promotion will allow PlayStation Plus members to vote on one upcoming PlayStation Plus game.

Vote to Play is likely to be a reoccurring promotion, but the first time out, the games that get the second and third most votes, the runners-up, will be featured with a PlayStation Plus discount.

While members will pick one upcoming game, there will still be multiple games added to the Instant Game Collection. Further details, such as how to vote and which games will be available to vote on, are still to come. (Only current PS Plus members will be able to vote.)
