CB4 is MIA.
Every year, 'NBA 2K' pushes the limits of presentation, and as evidenced by 'NBA 2K16,' there is no stopping that desire to present the games in the most stunning way possible. Of course, sports games have been exploiting a TV style of presentation for years, with analysts, play-by-play, and color commentators provided some of the best (and worst) bits.
Often times, however, these dramatic effects are short-lived, and some commentary gets recycled year after year. (It could be said this happens in real life as well.) But watching Shaq O'Neal, Ernie Johnson & Kenny "the Jet" Smith go at it in 'NBA 2K16,' and the only things missing are most obviously Sir Charles and that big screen the guys like to race to at the end of the studio.
Sadly, there is no announced number as to how many hours of commentary have been recorded for the halftime and post-game shows, but based off of this footage, Visual Concepts & 2K left the mics on for Shaq. It's like he's completely unfiltered.
