New 'Final Fantasy XV' Trailer Shows off Moogle Gameplay

Enemies just can't help but pay attention to plush toys.

Today, Square Enix has released a new trailer for 'Final Fantasy XV' showing off exactly how moogles will factor into the game. Throughout much of the game's development, moogles were confirmed to not make an appearance, but ater fan requests, Hajime Tabata said they would incorporate the series mascots in some form, and now we finally know how exactly they work. Moogles take the form of plush dolls that can be thrown in battle that will distract enemies, leading to them all attacking the doll instead of your party. The trailer shows off some ways to utilize this feature, and you can catch it right here:

I really love this, it's a very 'Metal Gear' thing to do, have an item that the enemies simply can't resist focusing on. It's a simple, goofy little addition to the game that's super charming and seems genuinely useful.

'Final Fantasy XV' releases on PS4 and Xbox One on November 29th.
