On the bright side, Rift preorders are said to be opening "very soon."
The Oculus VR Touch controller has been delayed until the second half of this year, the Oculus team announced in a blog post, citing the need for more time to perfect the hardware.
The Touch controller is an add-on for the Oculus Rift VR system that allows games to track players' hands in 3-D space, opening up new gameplay opportunities for developers.
On the up side, the same blog post mentions that the main Oculus Rift system is still set to ship in the first quarter of this year and that preorders will open "very soon." This may mean that the long-awaited launch price announcement is quickly approaching.
