Play Nintendo's shooter for free again this weekend.
Even as well as 'Splatoon''s doing worldwide--it's the best launch Nintendo's had for a new IP in years--there's still plenty of folks who still need to see to believe in the joys of being a kid now, then a squid now. To aid with this, Nintendo's opening up another Global Testfire, running all this weekend, where folks can ink their way across all the currently available maps.
Unlike the previous Testfires, however, each night, the servers will be oken for a cool two hours, from 3-5pm PDT/6-8pm PDT. You'll still be stuck on the regular Turf War gametype, however.
Anyone looking to get in on the action can go download the special Testfire demo from the eShop. The servers won't be open till the times listed, but trying to download it later has always been a fool's errand.
Oh, and try not too lean hard on playing Roller. You'll just be hated for it.
As for 'Splatoon' veterans, though, don't worry, the game's got them covered to this weekend: A new map, Flounder Heights, is being introduced into the rotation as of 7pm PDT/10pm EDT. Check out this shot and more over at the official site.
