Major Nelson's been showing off all the new hotness in the upcoming Xbox One update all week, and he's calling it a week with a long, forgotten friend: the Avatar section.

In a new video, we see how Avatars are not only going to be reintegrated as part of the social experience, but updated for the new hardware. There's stupidly limited support right now, especially when it comes to current gamerpics, which are hilariously not upscaled when you first import your profile. The new store brings all avatars into snazzy high res, with new lighting and texturing. If you've been using the app on Windows 10 at all, it'll look familiar.
