Amazon is promising big things.
As most people in the States know, the day after Thanksgiving is Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the year, and the day of crazy good deals. And now, Amazon wants to recreate that shopping frenzy in next week.
This July 15th will mark 20 years that Amazon has been around, and to mark the occasion, Amazon will be having Prime Day, a day of Black Friday deals exclusive to Prime members in the U.S., U.K., Spain, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Canada and Austria. In fact, Amazon is promising more deals on July 15th than on Black Friday.
The deals will start at midnight PT and go all day with new deals showing up every ten minutes. You better believe that the thousands of Lightning Deals, along with the Deals of the Day will include several video games.
For those that who think they might want to land a deal or two, now is the time to get your Prime membership in order. Fortunately, Amazon is allowing customers to sign up for 30-day trial Prime memberships and still get access to Prime Day. (Sign up for the free trial here.)
There is also a photo contest going on for Amazon gift cards:
While July 15th promises to be crazy, we plan on highlighting some promising deals as they arrive. Any game specific deals (new hard drive perhaps? PS Plus? 'Arkham Knight?') that readers want to see should be called out in the comments. Good hunting.
