'The Elder Scrolls Online' is getting a major update later this month for free on consoles. This update, called 'One Tamriel,' is already out on PC, and will remove Alliance restrictions so players can group with anyone they wish. Once the update launches October 18th on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, it will allow for friends to more easily group up for quests and dungeons.
Other improvements include allowing players to duel anywhere outside of Cyrodill, redesigned zones for solo players, and difficulty levels in dungeons (normal and veteran). The loot system has also been tweaked as players are now able to "acquire specific sets in specific zones at whatever level you are when completing quests."
