Coming to a Wii U Virtual Console near you.
Twenty years after 'EarthBound' first made its North American debut, Nintendo has seen fit to port another entry in the iconic 'Mother' series to the Western world. The first 'Mother' game is releasing today on the Wii U Virtual Console under the name 'EarthBound Beginnings.'
Starring a young boy named Ninten who looks strikingly like 'EarthBound' hero Ness, 'Mother' features the same general RPG aesthetic that 'EarthBound' fans already know and love. You build up your psychic abilities while making new friends and fighting against bizarre enemies like the "Hippie" and "Bigfoot."
Still no word on when Lucas and the cast of 'Mother 3' will be making their way to North America, but it's a start.
