Film's hero and villain will also be playable.
Amidst all the other 'Star Wars' video game morsels dropped at Star Wars Celebration--including Amy Hennig talking about her 'Star Wars' game in very 'Uncharted'-like terms--EA did, of course, find some time to drop some big 'Battlefront' news. The biggest, as it turns out, is that there will in fact be DLC tying into the upcoming film 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story'.
In particular, the DLC will introduce a new planet, Scarif, which is the sunny, tropical planet we see getting laid to waste by AT-ATs in the film's trailer--as well as two new characters, Felicity Jones' Jyn Ersa, and Ben Medelsohn's white-caped villain, Director Orson Krennic.
Those two will also be joined by a couple other additions to the 'Battlefront' roster, Chewbacca, and badass reptilian bounty hunter Bossk, albeit a few parsecs earlier than Jyn and Director Krennic, as Chewie and Bossk will be included with the game's upcoming Death Star DLC in September.
No release date just yet for the 'Rogue One' DLC, though we can probably expect closer to the film's December release date.
