"Pick your platform, keep your save."
The 'Ultimate Evil Edition' of 'Diablo III' is a mere two weeks away, and fans want to know just how exactly are they supposed to enjoy 'Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition' on one of its four console platforms after putting so much time into 'Diablo III' on either the PS3 or 360. Well, fear not, Blizzard has you covered.
For those that have played 'Diablo III' on either the PS3 or 360 and want to carry their saves over to the 'Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition,' there is a plan and a path. Amazingly, saves can go not only from say PS3 to PS3 Ultimate or even 360 to Xbox One, but saves can also go from PS3 to Xbox One and 360 to PS4.
From Blizzard,
Q. What types of cross-brand and cross-generation transfers are supported for Ultimate Evil Edition?
The following transfers are currently supported:
PS3 > Xbox One
Xbox 360 > PS4
PS3 > PS4
Xbox 360 > Xbox One
A detailed explanation can be found here.
The transfers methods are surprising conventionally and involve Sony Entertainment Network and Xbox Live accounts with one special exception, when transferring across platforms from Xbox to PlayStation or vice versa, users will need to use Battle.net.
For console users, this cross-platform support, while only involving save files, is still an amazing feature, and it is a somewhat marvelous option set that is being managed by Blizzard.
