Easier raids, bug fixes, and stricter troll enforcement are coming
Bungie's mantra these days is that "Destiny is never finished," a mantra exemplified by the massive Weekly Update issued brimming with new changes coming to the game as of the 1.1.2 patch, which includes toning down the health and fixing bugs during the Atheon and Crota Raids, implementing changes to make the game's least completed Raids--Cerberus Vae III and Dust Palace--a lot easier, and perhaps most impressively, laying down the law on players who either sit idle while their buddies do all the work during Strikes and PvP, or actively hinder progress.
"This week, we’ve restricted a small number of the most toxic players from matchmaking. The restrictions we’re putting on their accounts are temporary and apply only to the activities where they were chronically idle. If the affected players keep up this behavior after the restrictions lapse, we will apply stronger and (eventually) permanent restrictions on their accounts."
Bungie were quick to add that this wouldn't apply to simple situations where someone drops their controller to go answer the phone or pay the pizza guy: "here is no way you will accidentally be flagged under this policy unless you are a truly dedicated idler, someone who has really gone out their way to repeatedly cheat their teammates."
The full Weekly Update is chock full of detailed info on their changes, as well as a teaser of when we'll be getting the House of Wolves expansion. Check it out here.
