Capcom teases new REmake amid fan support.
A few days ago, Capcom took to the official Resident Evil Facebook page asking, with all sincerity, if an HD 'Resident Evil 2' remake would be something they would be interested in. The response, to the surprise of no one, was an overwhelming, screaming, enthusiastic YES.
It appears the Capcom gods were, indeed, listening, as not long after, Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, the producer behind the HD Remake of the first 'RE' title, went to his bosses with a ready-made pitch for the 'RE2' remake. The meeting, apparently, went well.
"He was also telling me...'can YOU make a worth seeing game to answer these fans full of passion???' This order actually makes me SUPER excited!!!"
So, long story short, the gears are finally turning for the 'Resident Evil 2' remake, thanks to you, the fans. And also, probably, the fact that the first 'RE' remaster is the fastest selling digital title in Capcom's history. That probably had a little to do with it.
