Better late than never.
Originally released last month on PlayStation 4, 'Call of Duty: Black Ops III's third expansion 'Descent' is now available on Xbox One and PC. The downloadable content has arrived fashionably late due to the timed-exclusivity deal that Sony has with Activision. The latest expansion for Treyarch's first-person shooter (check out our review) will set back players $14.99, or they can opt to pay $49.99 if they want access to all four of the expansions.
'Descent' features four new multiplayer maps, including a remake of 'Call of Duty: Black Ops II's Raid map called Empire, and a brand new chapter in the Zombies campaign. Gorod Krovi, the latest Zombies mission, takes place in an alternate history Soviet Union where players will have to fight against the undead and dragons. That's not a typo, there are now dragons in 'Call of Duty.' The other three maps include a cryogenic prison, a viking village and a robot fighting arena. It's certainly not just World War II anymore.
To celebrate the release of 'Descent,' Activision released a new trailer showing off the DLC. Check out all four maps below:
One additional expansion for 'Black Ops III' is set to release later this year. It will arrive before the next game in the series, 'Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare,' which is set to release November 4th, 2016.
'Call of Duty: Black Ops III' is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
