Class gameplay, some executions, and DEAR GOD WHAT IS THAT?!
Earlier this week, Bandai Namco sent out codes to access the network stress test for 'Dark Souls III' leaving most of us poor unfortunate plebes in the dirt. Thankfully, Gamespot, being the charitable sorts they are, have dutifully captured some highlights. First, they captured some quick snippets of gameplay with each of the game's four classes. Weirdly, they have the mage class not casting any spells, but, hey, nobody's perfect.
if that wasn't enough, they also made this happy little montage of a bunch of happy little executions/assassinations from the game. Even though it doesn't kill him, favorite's the one at the beginning where one of those fat boy knights gets the Sparta Special down a flight of stairs. But the piece de resistance is footage of one of the new bosses. the best description I can provide is that it's like somebody has a tumor shaped like that slug monster that hangs out in the long hallway from the first 'Hellraiser' film growing out of their back. That doesn't even do it justice though. Just look for yourself. 'Dark Souls III' will be available to everybody this Spring. For now, though, let's just express our eternal jealousy at everyone killing it up in the network test.
