Activison Blizzard makes a push for more filmed content.

Activision Blizzard has announced today that two-time Academy Award nominated producer Stacey Sher, who's worked on such films as 'The Hateful Eight', 'Django Unchained', as well as the TV series 'Into the Badlands' has been made Co-President of the company, bringing about an increased focus on adapting Activision Blizzard's stable of IP into films and TV shows.

With the 'Warcraft' movie out later this year (trailer below), the company seems more than primed to firmly enter into the movie market, and IP such as 'Skylanders' seems perfect to adapt for kids. Sher's body of work certainly holds a high pedigree, and 'Warcraft' looks suprisingly good, so it's nice to see that they're putting quite a bit of care into adapting their work.
