'Fire Emblem Fates' Sees Best Launch Ever for the Series in the US

Sold five times as much as 'Awakening' within the same perioud.

Today, Nintendo has announced that 'Fire Emblem Fates' has sold over 300000 copies within the first three days of release, making it the best US launch in series history, selling five times as many copies as 'Fire Emblem Awakening' did within the same period. 

Nintendo had the following to say:

Both fans and critics are falling for Fire Emblem Fates, and the early sales numbers prove the game’s undeniable appeal. This strong momentum for Nintendo 3DS is only the beginning, as many more high-quality exclusive games are set to launch for the hand-held system over the next few months.

It's great to see a Japanese SRPG franchise do so well for itself in the West, and I sincerely hope this leads to positive growth for the genre as a whole in future. But while Intelligent Systems is on a roll, hopefully they don't forget about 'Advance Wars'.
