'Don Bradman Cricket 17' Release Date Revealed, Coming Next Month

Get ready to deal with sticky wickets.

The release date for 'Don Bradman Cricket 17' was announced today by publisher Home Entertainment Suppliers. The cricket simulation, which is once again developed by Big Ant Studios, is set to release December 22nd on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a PC release coming in January 2017. The game is set to feature character customization tools, and looks to build upon last year's surprisingly successful title.

Big Ant Studios CEO Ross Symons discussed how the game will be improved upon its predecessor. "We have built completely new batting, bowling and fielding mechanics based on player feedback," revealed Symons. "With [the title] releasing right in the heart of the Aussie cricket season, we’re looking forward to players recreating the classic moments of the summer of cricket in their homes. We think [fans are] going to love the enhanced career mode, refined on-field mechanics, and enhanced visuals and animation."

This will be the second game in the series, and the Bradman Foundation is excited to see the legendary batsman's legacy continue to live on. "The first 'Don Bradman Cricket' game did a wonderful job of reflecting the heritage of The Don, and giving cricket fans around the world an authentic and accurate rendition of the sport on their gaming consoles," said the Bradman Foundation's Rina Hore. "We’re looking forward to seeing how fans respond to this year’s greatly enhanced version."

'Don Bradman 17' releases December 22nd on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. A PC version will become available one month later.
