Dolby and AMC Schedule Fan Events for 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' at Dolby Cinema at AMC Theaters Nationwide

Fans visiting Dolby Cinema at AMC locations can attend a magical opening night for the upcoming film. 

Dolby and AMC have announced plans to host special fan events for the premiere of 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' at Dolby Cinema at AMC Theaters around the country. The events are scheduled for Thursday, November 17 at 6 p.m. at all Dolby Cinema at AMC locations playing the film.

"Movie-goers are ecstatic about returning to JK Rowling's Wizarding World with the release of FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM," said Elizabeth Frank, Executive Vice President and Chief Content and Programming Officer, AMC. "The theatrical experience of being transported back to this World on opening night in Dolby Cinema at AMC is one guests won’t want to miss."

As part of the special fan event, guests will receive a Newt Scamander replica wand and commemorative lanyard, along with the opportunity to watch the film in Dolby Cinema. Dolby Cinema uses the Dolby Vision laser projection system, which delivers high dynamic range images with expanded colors and enhanced contrast. Likewise, Dolby Cinema also uses Dolby Atmos object-based mixing to create an immersive surround sound experience with overhead audio. In addition, Dolby Cinema at AMC theaters have been designed with comfort in mind, offering reserved recliners with seat transducers.
