Coming Soon to Blu-ray: 'The Terror,' 'Tully,' and More

AMC's drama series and director Jason Reitman's newest film are among the latest crop of upcoming Blu-ray releases.

New info has been revealed for several Blu-rays from Lionsgate, Universal, Strand Releasing, Altered Innocence, and SGL Entertainment set for release in the coming months.

Here's a full rundown of recently revealed details and title announcements: 

First up, Lionsgate is prepping Andrew Haigh's Lean on Pete starring Chloë Sevigny, Travis Fimmel, Steve Zahn, and Steve Buscemi for Blu-ray on July 10. Supplements will include:

- "Searching for Home: Making Lean on Pete” Featurette

As previously reported, the label is also bringing Bob Fisher and Rob Greenberg's Overboard starring Anna Faris, Eva Longoria, and John Hannah to Blu-ray, and now the release date has been announced as July 31. Supplements will include:

- Audio Commentary with Writer-Director Rob Greenberg, Writer-Producer Bob Fisher, and Producer Benjamin Odell
- "Chemistry Is Comedy" Featurette
- "Culture Clash" Featurette
- "Captains of the Ship: Bob & Rob" Featurette

In addition, Alexandre Moors' The Yellow Birds starring Jennifer Aniston, Tye Sheridan, and Alden Ehrenreich is in the works for August 14. Supplements will include:

- Reverberations of War: Making The Yellow Birds - Featurette

Likewise, John Cameron Mitchell's How to Talk to Girls at Parties starring Elle Fanning, Alex Sharp, and Nicole Kidman is also coming to Blu-ray on August 14. Supplements will include:

- Audio Commentary with Director John Cameron Mitchell and Actors Elle Fanning and Alex Sharp
- Making an Otherworldly Production
- Deleted Scenes

Eric Bross' Affairs of State starring Thora Birch, Mimi Rogers, and Adrian Grenier is set to hit Blu-ray on August 14 as well. Supplements will include:

- Audio Commentary by Director/Producer Eric Bross
- Deleted Scenes
- Trailer Gallery

Capping off the studio's August 14 releases will be Rob Reiner's Shock and Awe starring Woody Harrelson, James Marsden, and Milla Jovovich. Supplements have not been announced yet.

And rounding out Lionsgate's upcoming lineup will be AMC's The Terror: The Complete First Season starring Jared Harris, Ciarán Hinds, and Paul Ready on August 21. Supplements have not been detailed at this time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Universal is prepping Jason Reitman's Tully starring Charlize Theron, Mackenzie Davis, and Mark Duplass for Blu-ray on July 31. Supplements will include:

- The Relationships of Tully - Featurette

In addition, the studio is set to release James McTeigue's Breaking In: Unrated Director's Cut starring Gabrielle Union, Billy Burke, Richard Cabral, Levi Meaden, and Seth Carr on August 7. Supplements will include:

- Alternate Opening
- One Bad Mother
- A Filmmaker's Eye
- A Lesson in Kicking Ass
- A Hero Evolved
- Deleted and Extended Scenes
- Feature Commentary by Director James McTeigue and Scriptwriter Ryan Engle

Likewise, Dominic Cooke's On Chesil Beach starring Saoirse Ronan, Emily Watson, and Anne-Marie Duff is also coming to Blu-ray on August 7. Supplements will include:

- The Story Behind On Chesil Beach - Featurette
- Deleted Scenes

Brian Shoaf's Aardvark starring Zachary Quinto, John Hamm, and Jenny Slate is on deck for August 7 as well. Supplements will include:

- Making of Aardvark

Meanwhile, NBC's A.P. Bio: Season 1 starring Glenn Howerton, Patton Oswalt, and Jacob McCarthy is set to hit Blu-ray on August 14. No other details have been announced yet.

In addition, Syfy's 12 Monkeys: Season Three and 12 Monkeys: Season Four starring Aaron Stanford, Amanda Schull, Kirk Acevedo, and Noah Bean are also due to arrive on August 14. No other details have been revealed at this time.

And capping off the studio's upcoming slate of new releases will be Raja Gosnell's Show Dogs starring Will Arnett, Chris Bridges, Natasha Lyonne, and Stanley Tucci on August 21. No supplements are currently listed for the disc.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Beyond new releases, Universal has also announced plans to bring several catalog horror titles to Blu-ray on August 28. The lineup includes...

Don Mancini's Seed of Chucky starring Brad Dourif, Jennifer Tilly, Billy Boyd, and Redman. Supplements will include:

Mick Garris' Psycho IV starring Anthony Perkins, Henry Thomas, and Olivia Hussey. No supplements are currently listed for the release.

Charles Lamont's Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man starring Bud Abbott, Lou Costello, Arthur Franz, and Nancy Guild. Supplements will include:

SGL Entertainment has announced plans to release Eddie Arya's The System starring Jamie Vergan, Nikki Waterhouse, and Yasemin Plows on August 14. No other details have been announced at this time.
