The company's newest MusicCast audio product has been announced.
Yamaha has revealed the latest addition to its home audio lineup. The YSP-2700 Sound Bar includes support for the company's MusicCast wireless multiroom audio technology.
"The Yamaha YSP-2700 MusicCast Sound Bar is the perfect solution for anyone who craves immersive sound from movies combined with superb musical playback -all from an ultra-slim sound bar that fits easily into the home," said Bob Goedken, general manager, AV division, Yamaha Corporation of America. "With the addition of MusicCast, listeners can stream their favorite sound bar audio sources on a MusicCast wireless speaker placed anywhere throughout the home with simple access provided by a very easy-to-use, visual app on their smartphone or tablet."
The 7.1 channel YSP-2700 sound bar features Yamaha Digital Sound Projector technology with 16 speakers and 16 amplifiers to create discrete sound beams that reflect off the walls of a room in order to simulate audio from multiple directions. In addition, the system includes a wireless subwoofer. Three HDMI inputs and one output are integrated as well, offering HDCP 2.2 compliancy with 4K Ultra HD video pass-through at up to 60p, and support for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD MA lossless audio formats. Connectivity options include WiFi, AirPlay, Spotify Connect, and Bluetooth. Likewise, the sound bar supports Yamaha's MusicCast wireless multiroom audio system. With MusicCast, users can stream music through a simple Android or iOS app, and easily link to other MusicCast speakers, AV receivers and Hi-Fi gear in other rooms to share music throughout the home. Finally, the YSP-2700 also features Yamaha's IntelliBeam auto calibration system.
Yamaha's YSP-2700 MusicCast Sound Bar will be available in September for a suggested retail price of $1,199.95.
