Hit up Steam to check out what the new version of XCOM has to offer.
There's no question that the newest 'XCOM' game is different. It's a tactical shooter instead of a turn-based strategy game, and that makes some fans, well, less than thrilled. Of course, the only way to really judge the game is to play it, and that's something PC gamers can do now.
Steam has just put up the demo for XCOM, allowing players to proceed through two levels of the game and get a feel for the new combat system, the general tone of the game, and develop their own opinions on whether it's worth picking up or not.
The full version of 'XCOM: Enemy Unknown' will be out for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on October 9th.
