After posting a tantalizing if brief teaser on its media website, Warner Home Video appears on the verge of announcing a trio of popular holiday-themed titles on Blu-ray and HD DVD this December.
After postings for three much-loved Warner holiday titles appeared briefly yesterday, including 'A Christmas Story,' 'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation' and the 2002 live-action version of 'Scooby-Doo' (okay, maybe that last one isn't so beloved), the titles were promptly pulled with no explanation.
Calls to Warner about the status of the three titles were not returned at presstime.
Though no exact release dates were indicated in the brief listings on Warner's website, box art and specs did appear -- including the usual 1080p transfers and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround tracks, plus the usual assortment of standard-def extras.
In any event, we'll keep you posted when an official announcement comes in. We've also added listings for all three titles to the "Release Dates Pending" sections of both ourHD DVD Release Schedule and Blu-ray Release Schedule.
